A repeat pattern from one of my images. I think this would make a really lovely fabric and that is something I intend to find out over summer!

Another few of my final image screen prints before they have been worked into with stitch and made into cushions. If I’m honest I am reluctant to work into them because I think they look pretty lush as they are but as that was my intention I have missed a lot of the detail out of the prints which I intended to sew on. I will sew into them because I think detail is important, but if I had longer or the chance to do the project again, I think I would work purely in screen printing and add detail in that way.

Screen prints - these bad boys are going to be made into a set of small cushions looking at the issue of hunted woodland animals. Each animal had it’s own phrase to mean ‘goodbye’. I think the screen prints are rally successful and am somewhat reluctant to work into them with stitch like I proposed but am also aware of not fully developing my ideas so I’ll do some experiments and hope for the best…!

and a sewn fox. yeah.

…but hopefully they will look a little more like this!

The idea: I’m working on a project about hunted woodland animals and the idea was to have the animals saying slang terms for ‘goodbye’ to show the depletion in their species due to hunting. OK, so I cant really draw (the outcomes will be screen printed and sewn) so you gotta bear with me but these are some quick sketches of the kind of thing I’m aiming for.
